Workshop
Venue: Freie Universität Berlin, Seminar Centre, Otto-von-Simson-Str. 26, 14195 Berlin-Dahlem
The two-day workshop Debt, Creation, History brings together theorists from the areas of literature, archaeology, anthropology and ethnography, cinema and art history. It will centrally focus on the moral economy of debt, in particular in the context of the current Europe. The workshop, is part of the larger project Constellation of debt which is a collective, poetic dialogue of 10 Greek and 10 German poets: the poets will be present at the workshop, and will join the theoretical conversation as what is sought is the exploration and encounter of alternative discourses on debt. After the workshop a public reading of the poetic dialogue will take place at the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin.
