Research Funding
The Center for Modern Greece continually develops a vast digital knowledge base, which provides encyclopaedic entries about the protagonists, the fields of action and the modes of mediation of the German-Greek cultural and knowledge transfer.
In relation to the aforementioned, up to 5 research projects in the fields of humanities, culture, history or social studies get annually funded. Each project receives up to 5000 € of funding. The funding is intended towards the writing of scientific papers concerning varying aspects of the History of the German – Greek culture and science transfer. These papers are intended for online publication in the Working Papers Series of the Knowledge Base, to enrichen and expand its corpus with the findings. Already published papers are excluded from the funding program.
Young researchers can apply for the 2017/2018 term. Applications must be submitted in electronic form until the 15th of December 2017 at info@cemog.fu-berlin.de.
